The terms, in plain words.
In effect from September 13, 2026 · MARUVI 0.4.3, the first public build · The full text also ships inside the zip.
Take it, use it on your own machine, and send people the address instead of the file.
- 1This build is put out for anyone to download and run on their own computer. We are not charging for it.
- 2There is one place to get it: maruvi.ai. Passing the installer around, or taking the code apart to build something else, is not allowed.
- 3The program and its source code remain the author's. You are given the right to use it, not ownership of it.
Everything you make with it is yours.
- →Install it on your own computers — several of them, as long as they are yours — and use it personally.
- →Use whatever you produce with it — documents, summaries, decks — however you like. The author claims no rights over your output.
- →Tell people about it by giving them the maruvi.ai address. They pay nothing either.
- →Tell us what broke, what annoyed you, and what you wish it did.
Four things, and one reason behind them.
- ✕Hand the installer to someone directly — as a zip, a folder, a re-upload to another site, a messenger file, or a shared drive.
- ✕Copy or modify the source code to build another program or service.
- ✕Resell it, rent it out, or bundle it into a paid service.
- ✕Reuse the name, the mark, or the screen design.
This build is not charged for. What comes later is not decided yet.
One thing worth knowing up front: the brains run on your own AI accounts, so whatever you use counts against the limits of the plan you already pay for. That part is between you and your provider, and it does not change with anything we decide about price.
Other people's work is in here too, under their own terms.
The terms on this page apply to the parts of MARUVI we wrote. Every bundled open-source component keeps its own licence, and the full list — names, versions, licence texts — ships inside the zip as THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
It comes as it is. Back up anything that matters.
This is a first public build and it has rough edges. The author is not liable for data loss or damage arising from using it. If a file matters to you, keep a copy of it somewhere else — that is good advice with any software, and it is honest advice with this one.
If the terms above are not kept, the right to use the program ends and it should be removed.
Not sure whether something you want to do is allowed? Ask before you do it — a person reads it.
